Howard V. Sedelbauer, 85, of Temperance, MI is now in heaven with our Lord, he passed away with his wife by his side on March 31, 2015. He was born on November 12, 1929 to Victor and Bertha Sedelbauer in Monroe, MI. He attended 1st thru 8th grades at Trinity Lutheran School in Monroe. He was active in sports and graduated at Ida High School.
Charles “Chuck” Lee Mann, 69 years, of Lambertville, MI, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 in ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Sylvania, OH. He was employed with Owens Community College as Treasurer and Sr. Vice-President from April 12, 1976 to December 12, 2006. In a retirement commendation, Charles was applauded for his unwavering dedication, commitment to excellence, and extraordinary trustee service throughout his more than 30 years of work.
Geraldine (nee Mitchell) MacAdams, 90, of
Lambertville, MI, died on Monday, March 9th at
The Hickory Ridge of Temperance Nursing
Home. She was born March 13, 1924, in
Bethlehem, PA to the late George and Rose
Mitchell. She graduated from Liberty High
School in Bethlehem in 1942, and from Cedar
Crest College magna cum laude, in Allentown,
PA, in 1946. After college, she worked on the
editorial staff of the (now-defunct) Woman's
Home Companion in New York City.
In 1948, Gerry married her college sweetheart,
Richard MacAdams, and moved to Toledo,
Ohio, where her husband was employed as an
engineer with the Pure Oil Company.
Marjorie Bowman, 88 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 in ProMedica Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, OH. A Food Service Manager, she retired from Monroe Public Schools after many years. The daughter of Joseph and Harriet (Pete) Karwick she was born March 3, 1927 in LaSalle, MI.
Melvin E. Buchelt, 72 years, of Petersburg, MI passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Toledo Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (LaVoy); children, Ray Buchelt, Angela (James) Ednie, Jim Buchelt, Amanda LaVoy; grandchildren, Jesus Bojorquez, Alyssa Ednie, Andrew Ednie; sisters, Geri Scoby and Dorothy Whitmill; sister-in-law, Shirley Buchelt. He was preceded in death by brothers, Harry "Junior" and Robert Buchelt.
Paula Lucy Prebula, 81 years, of Petersburg, MI passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Lake Park, Sylvania, OH. A bus driver for over 50 years, she drove for Bedford Public Schools for over 45 years and St. Anthony School for over 5 years. The daughter of Paul and Irene (McCaffrey) Dixon she was born February 5, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA. September 24, 1951 Paula married Albert James Prebula, he preceded her in death in 1999.
Roger Peace, age 66, of Temperance, MI passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. The son of John and Estaline (Strunk) Peace he was born July 2, 1948 in Toledo. A graduate of Whitmer High School, he then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He married Deborah Fleck in 1973. A Mortgage Officer, Roger retired from Fifth Third Bank and was employed with numerous financial institutions through the years.
Ned Robison, 87 years, of Houghton Lake, MI, formerly of Lambertville, passed away February 24, 2015 in the King Nursing Home, Houghton Lake, under hospice care. He worked as a delivery driver for Pepsi for many years. The son of Ned J. and Vivian (Creath) Robison he was born May 19, 1927 in Erie, PA.
Stephen A. Bok, 55 years, of Hicksville, OH lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in his home, under the care of Community Health Professionals, with his family by his side. An ASE World Class Auto Technician and Master Mechanic for 35 years, he was most recently working for Jim Schmidt Family of Dealerships in Hicksville. He previously worked at Stan Pepple Motors in Bryan, OH for several years and BP ProCare in Toledo, OH. An extremely hard worker, Steve was also a life long farmer and owned and operated Bok Shop for many years.
Michael W. Beckham, 38 years, of Burlington, NJ, formerly of Temperance, MI lost his battle with cancer on February 12, 2015. He was born in Toledo Ohio on October 12, 1976 to Michael J. Beckham and Alice F. (Bowman) Beckham. He graduated from Bedford High School in 1995 and enlisted in the Navy on July 18, 1996. He attended Aviation Electronics Technician “A” School in Billington, TN and Intermediate Level Calibration School in Biloxi, MS. In 2012, he completed his Associates Degree in Electronics Technology from Coastline Community College.
