Bertram M. Kohler Jr. (Skip), age 65 years, of Erie, MI, passed away suddenly Thursday September 3, 2015. The son of Bertram Kohler and Shirley Smith, he was born January 4, 1950 in Toledo, OH. He was a 1968 graduate of Bedford High School. An avid race car enthusiast and past ARCA official, he was always involved in racing. He was a long term employee of Frostbite of Toledo, OH.
Bert enjoyed his dog, Texi, fishing, and traveling. A wonderful loving father, grandfather, and friend, he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his significant other Cathie; children: Michelle, Abby, Brandy, Chad; grandchildren: Daniel, Gregory, Denis, Sean, Jason, Delmer, Madison, Ty, Cole, and Greyson; siblings: Kess, Keith, Kurt, and Kirby; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI where the Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe.
