Nancy Fels

Nancy Jo Fels was greatly loved and admired as a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. Nancy showed us how to live our lives with love, kindness and honesty. Nancy was called home to the Lord on January 31^st, 2015. Born to Neuman and Sherley McFarland on February 14th, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio. 

Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents, Neuman and Sherley McFarland,  sister, Beverly Abbott, and great granddaughter, Angel Ditmyer.

Left to cherish her memory are husband, Jerry, sisters, Joyce (Mac) Smay, Judy (Rich) Kwiatkowski; children, Jerry (Deb) Ditmyer, Kim Ditmyer, Duane (Shelley) Ditmyer, Ron (Marti) Ditmyer; step children, John (Pam) Fels, Kathy Fincher and Jennifer Nour; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and her beloved dogs, Snickers and Togo.

Nancy will be remembered for her zest for life. She lived her life to the fullest with her husband of 30 years and numerous family and friends. True “”snowbirds””, Nancy loved spending her winters in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, and summers at the campground. Nancy was an avid dancer and was always the first one on the dance floor. Nancy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 from 2pm until 8pm in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 5^th at 10:00am in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church where she will lie in state after 9:00am.  Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, OH.  

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Genesis Point Place Care Rehab and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all of their kindness and care.
