Paula Prebula

Paula Lucy Prebula, 81 years, of Petersburg, MI passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Lake Park, Sylvania, OH. A bus driver for over 50 years, she drove for Bedford Public Schools for over 45 years and St. Anthony School for over 5 years. The daughter of Paul and Irene (McCaffrey) Dixon she was born February 5, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA. September 24, 1951 Paula married Albert James Prebula, he preceded her in death in 1999.

An energetic and spirited person, she loved shopping, antiquing, party planning, and crafts. Paula was loving, giving, and enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Temperance. She was also a member of The Odd Fellows, The Rebekas, The Red Hat Society, and The Eagles.

She is survived by her loving children, Albert James Prebula II (Connie Stevens), Paula Lucia Weingart (Daniel Bevelhymer), Alicia (Jean-Pierre) Masri, son-in-law, Brian Howard; grandchildren, Albert James Prebula III, Jesse Trevor Prebula, Christopher Jamison Prebula, Kenneth Paul Weingart, Jean-Luc Patrick Masri, Pascale Marie Masri, Alyssa Paige Howard, Joshua Lee James Howard; great-grandchildren, Albert James Prebula IV, Kaylee Prebula, Trevor Prebula Addison Weingart, Kenzi Weingart; siblings, Mary A. Green and William Dixon. She was also preceded in death by daughter Petrina Lois Howard in 2001 and sister Deborah Fielding.

Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2015 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, by the Pastor, Fr. Brian Hurley, where she will lie in state after 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
